i dont think Japanese games are nearly as good as they use to be when I was a kid. Of course, they didn't have the competition they have now. Conversely, I think western games have come a long way & now go toe to toe with any country's games in terms of sales, critical reviews & awards.

It's a great game. I love Ninja Gaiden. But it is a real shame more wasnt done to fix the camera this time around. But, the gameplay is stellar. Day one purchase for me, big fan of the franchise.

I play lead guitar in my band, I publish & write songs, & I'm a hardcore gamer... but Rockband & Guitar Hero have no draw for me. I'd rather spend my time playing a real instrument, but since I can play a *real* guitar, well, it makes me biased I think.

Not surprized. Casual gamers buy into the Wii because of price & the the Wiimote looks like fun.
But it's software lineup, graphics capability, & online service pales in comparison to either the 360 or the PS3.
I think the "family" console is going to be based more on the "family's" budget, more than even the software provided. The sheer scope of the 360's library trumps both the PS3 & the Wii. However, the net result is not the 360 being #1, it's still at #2, even with a helluva attach rate due to all those games.
IMHO, the Wii's success with the casual gamer exists for 2 reasons:
1. PRICE.
